ABOUT

Friendly-neighborhood Optometrist. Tell-it-like-it-is health and beauty educator. Empowering life coach and leader for women just like you (and just like me!). Strategic planner. Enneagram 2 (wing 1 or 3 depends on the day!). Giver of grace with a huge heart for helping… like, EVERYONE. Mom, Wife, Friend, Daughter, Sister, Jesus-lover. And, even though so many people ask me: Michelle, how do you do it all? I try not to spit out my coffee as I laugh and say, “Y’all, I DON’T.”

And I’ve chosen to believe that God will empower me through those things in order to create something that truly feels like my best life.

As a trained medical professional and Texas-grown Christian, I come from a whole lot of learning how to operate inside the box and following the rules.

And, while I believe there’s such a thing as solid truth, I think there’s more gray area in the lives we lead than we want to acknowledge.

I never would have imagined something like being an Optometrist in a family-owned practice, a high-level leader in the wellness business, and life coach business, living my best life with my best-friend-Husband and sweet-as-all-heck (sometimes) kids would be possible in the same breath.

I believe healthy and happy goes deeper than the eye can see.

01 / 03

I focus on preventive eye care by day + advocating for better beauty + educating on skin care by… well, also day. Healthy and happy is less about circumstances and more about informed choices based on reliable information.

I believe in always being growth-minded.

02 / 03

There’s always something to learn and improve when it comes to health, business, and life. That doesn’t have to be scary, it can actually give you the power to create a better world.

I believe we should have fun, and live with joy.

03 / 03

I do my best to infuse joy into everything I do: in the office, with clients and consultants, with my family. But, honestly, some of the joy comes from the fact that I have all of those things. I can choose what I want to do, and I can spend time doing what lights me up, in every aspect of life.

I am living proof that the multi-passionate life can be more than a NICE IDEA.

If I can do this, you can, too.

I started my beautycounter business at the busiest time of my life. Brian had started his business while working full time (and traveling), I had two littles at home, and I was working even longer hours at baxter eye care than usual with my associate out on maternity leave.

And, you know what? In the busiest time of my life, even though adding something seemed like it would take away from my ability to breathe at all, it ended up giving me the breath of fresh air I didn’t know I needed.  So, your life is full. I get it. But, maybe instead of searching for more, more, more, like so many make a habit of these days, maybe it’s time to open your mind to better and best.

Those things you’ve always wanted to do? It’s not too late to do them, and I want to show you the same joy I’ve found in pursuing my passion.

I say that, even in the midst of all the sticky hands, joyful (but, really?) screams and squeals, and the ever-bursting calendar that couldn’t possibly get even more full, right?
